Sir Thomas More as in the second lord chancellor to King Henry VIII, humanist who refused to hunt yet was not reluctant to execute men for heresy and stuck by his friend and queen Catherine of Aragon and got his head chopped off for it?

Sounds about right. I'd like to read it one day. I am far too obsessed with my Tudor England professor...
